One Lab, together with Nicholas McDermott of Future Expansion Architects, took a quick field trip just around the corner to visit the wining project from BAM's competition for public art project as a celebration of it's 150th anniversary. The Accelerated Ruin is a new biodegradable material grown from mycelium cells with hemp. The material can be modified for building construction scale products and is on display 24/7 at 651 Fulton street, Brooklyn, NY.
Nicholas McDermott talks about the future of construction materials. |
